Gaming juggernaut Vulcan Forged acquires the Galactic Fight League!

Since its inception, the Galactic Fight League’s goal was to create a game that truly blended the metaverse and the world of mixed martial arts together.

As fans of the fight scene and Web3 gaming, we have spent over a year of tireless work to try and make this dream a reality

While the market has entered a bear cycle, we have continued to build. After months of working on game development, it became apparent that for us to create a game worthy of the GFL’s supporters, we would need a bigger team with more development capabilities and experience.

Jamie Thomson and the Vulcan Forged team are long-term friends of the project. For anyone who may not be aware they are absolute beasts in the gaming and metaverse space. They are an established (NFT) game studio, marketplace, and dApp incubator with 10+ games, a 20000+ community, and top 5 NFT marketplace volume.

Vulcan Forged recently secured $8M Series A funding led by SkyBridge Capital, an investment firm founded by former White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci.

The team @VulcanForged have a proven track record of games development and marketing that far exceeds our own and we have decided that for the GFL to reach the galactic heights we have always envisaged the best thing we could do is to hand over the project to a more experienced team.

As of today, the Galactic Fight League is now owned by @VulcanForged with the original GFL team staying around as advisors.
